Making a Millionaire

Who wouldn't want to be a millionaire? If wealthy people still aspire to get richer by venturing into business or engaging in politics, how much more are less fortunate who finds their paradise in slums and garbage hills? To become a millionaire isn't merely a chance, but destiny fulfilled by the decisions and choices we make in life. While some are born, others are made. These are the people who work their way up through their perseverance and hard work, Nowadays, getting a million could be as easy as one, two, three and as fast as a, b, c. Are you prepared?

Everybody wants to be a millionaire. everyone longs for a taste of the good life. Not that we have become too materialistic, working and dreaming to give ourselves things for comfort and convenience is a natural instinct. To get beyond what we require wold be a fitting consolation for all our hardships and perseverance. But in reality, there is no easy way to be a millionaire. Stories of famous businessmen will prove that they, too wasn't served with all that riches when they were born, they have struggled long before, have studied hard, tried many jobs, ventured into business, managed it well and that made them who they are today.

Winning in a TV game shows might seem to be the fastest way to become a millionaire but have you ever wondered what people have to go through even before they could be chosen as contestants : kilometric cues and the competition in the audition. Once they are chosen as contestants, they have to tell their life stories to the whole world watching, the more dramatic, the better, the more emphatic, the bigger the chance of winning. then they have to act like a fool showing their talent(less) for the entertainment of the viewers. Finally, the last one standing will have to play with luck and there is no assurance whether at the end of the game, he/she will have to be called lucky or unlucky. Sames goes to winning in a lottery or sweepstakes draw, the bigger the pot money gets, the lesser it becomes to win the jackpot. But surely, an instant mega millionaire is made once someone hits the right draw digits.

Marrying a millionaire maybe the most fashionable way to become a millionaire but society still sports a sour and scornful face for relationship between the rich and the poor, between a young and an old and between people from two different races. We think that before there's love, money drive this kind of people together. Human judgement is as difficult to bear as any other physical stress and could sometimes be torturing and lasting. But nobody knows the truth better than these people so as long as they know the real thing that keeps them together, getting affected shouldn't be an option.

Still, there are ways to become a millionaire without having to depend heavily on luck or somebody else help. Talent and unique skills can give you admiration, respect, fame, influence and a basket of fortune all at the same time without having to compromise to false hopes and resort to cheap gimmicks. Take Charice Pempengco and Manny Pacquiao for examples. Charice has been singing since she was six though none of her local stint has given her popularity and money. Who would have thought that, through Youtube, Charice star would shine the brightest, from being a local reality show runner up to today's global young pop singing sensation. Manny Pacquiao is now the number one ranked boxer in the world. But before he became who he is today, the unschooled Manny has been an amateur boxer who had been through a lot of bruises, jabs and blows. Now, Manny has more than brought home pride and honor for the country, he afforded himself millions in cash prizes, a plague of commercial endorsements, movies, tv shows and a government post as congressman of his district. Charice and Manny's millions didn't come cheap and easy. true, we could never disregard the luck factor, but it is their undeniable talent and skills that have brought them to where they are today.

Everybody wants to be a millionaire. All of us do. That is why we are here doing what we do today. That is why we are not there with our families so we can , if earning millions is far too a long shot, at least provide for all our family's needs. That is the reason why we set aside who we want to be to be who we need to be so we can earn better return than better respect. Some people have died waiting to at least improve the quality of their lives but to no avail. It is because they just dream and never act. Luck isn't all that it takes, nor cheating, talent or intelligence. Hard work, perseverance and the will to pursue amidst the insurmountable is necessary to be in the league.
